As it was still dark, the flash disturbs the centre a bit, but will see it more clearly as I work on it. I really like the chatter marks from the very flexible scraper I used. When I fuse, it will need to be very light so they are retained.

The beginning of an encaustic woodcut
As it was still dark, the flash disturbs the centre a bit, but will see it more clearly as I work on it. I really like the chatter marks from the very flexible scraper I used. When I fuse, it will need to be very light so they are retained.

Can't wait to see the finished print. Do you print the woodcut first, then apply encaustic to the paper? (I enjoy your Blog and appreciate the effort.)
ReplyDeleteHello Lynn, Thanks for your comment. This is actually the block. Am trying to print from them as well. Just taking a bit of tweeking to get the temperature right on the hotplate.
